Freedom Of Religion
Ariana Lacono has the right to wear her nose piercing due to her religion believes. If wearing nose piercing part of her religion than the school has to respect that. The first Amendment protect Ariana's rights, so there's nothing to argue about, let her wear it. If it was a different case, non-religion believes, than she should take it off, otherwise no. Ariana points out that the school doesn't follow their own dressing code policy. How can they target someone that is following her religion believes, when they don't follow their own policy? Following her believes should not harm her educational life, it should be respected and left alone.
